Faculty of Commerce and Industry and Maritime Defense Training College and Mahapola Port Authority conducted an event on Certificate of Continuing Release Certificate Course No. 08 (CDC – 08) for Maritime Officers jointly by the Colleges of Defense and Maritime Defense Training on 26/10/2021 and completed on 03/12/2021.
Trained Marine Security Officers were imparted knowledge on the following subjects and their knowledge was developed during this course.
Subjects,
- Maritime English Language Course
- Proficiency in Elementary First- Aid Course
- Proficiency in Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting Course
- Proficiency in Personal Survival Techniques Course
- Proficiency in Personal Safety and Social Responsibility Course
- Proficiency in Basic Trauma
- Proficiency in Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties (SDSD) etc.
For 24 Maritime Security Officers who completed this course were given Official insignia and Certificate from the College of Industry and Maritime Defense Training. The main event was held on 03/12/2021 at the main hall of the Faculty of Training. Lt. Cl. A. Thilak Banagoda (Retd.), Director Corporate of Rakna Arakshaka Lanka Ltd. and Major General L.A.N.S. Wanigasinghe (Retd.), Director Training of Faculty of Commerce and Maritime Defense Training were participated in this event as the Chief Guests.
