RAKNA ARAKSHAKA LANKA LTD (Company Registration No. PB 456-N(PBS)1370) was incorporated under the Companies Act No. 07 of 2007 of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and has direct affiliations of the Ministry of Investment Promotion. Our corporate office is located at No.143/A, Kirulapona Avenue, Colombo-05.
RALL is a Government and Treasury owned organization. The organization’s directors shall consist of the persons holding the posts of Defence Secretary or its Representative, Secretary Treasury or its Representative and additional and assistant Secretaries of the Ministry of Investment Promotion. RALL was formed in October 2006, under the name of “Pramuka Arakshaka Lanka Limited” in terms of Companies Act No. 17 of 1982. On December 6th, 2007, the name was changed to “Rakna Arakshaka Lanka Limited” under Companies Act No.07 of 2007, subject to the Cabinet Memorandum No.06/2330/206/083. The organization has an intended purpose of establishing a coordinated security organization with the capacity to protect private and public institutions via best in class commercial security service.
RALL is registered and licensed under and in terms of Regulation of Private Securities Agencies Act No. 45 of 1998 as a private Security Agency with the Ministry of Defence to provide unique security service. RALL obtained the License to carry on the business of a Foreign Employment Agency from the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (License No. 2534).
Portfolio of RALL consist of 06 revenue generating verticals, Land Operations, Maritime Operations, Commercial & Industrial Training Academy(CIMSTA), Catering, RALL Special Skill Service Unit and Cyber Security and Surveillance Service. Land Operations Department of RALL consists of approximately 2,500 Security Officers, including Officer-In-Charge (OIC), Visiting Security Officers (VSO), Junior Security Officers (JSO) and Lady Security Officers (LSO)). The Maritime Department consists of approximately 584 Registered Sea-Marshals. Approximately 150 staff members (including Top Management, Middle Management, Clerical Staff and Minor Staff) support the management of the day-to-day operations of the Company.
