MOU was signed between the Rakna Arakshaka Lanka Limited CIMSTA and with Sri Lanka Ports Authority Mahapola to get training facilities for Rakna Sea Marshals from Mahapola Ports and Maritime Academy.
Mahapola Ports and Maritime Academy (MPMA) is a fully fledged well recognized Director General Merchant Shipping Secretariat certified Training Academy for obtaining Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) which is a mandatory pre requisite for any Sea marshal or a sea farers employing On-board Security Teams duties.
We the CIMSTA has signed the MOU with SLPA for fully accreditation for seeking mandatory important 6 training modules conducted by MPMA in partial fulfilment of acquisition of CDC for Rakna Sea Marshals.
The newly recruiting a batch of 25 Rakna Sea Marshals Course No 1 accredited with MPMA is scheduled to commence on 18th of June 2020 at CIMSTA for 27 days. Off the 27 days 20 days will be dedicated for 6 basic short courses at MPMA and rest will be at CIMSTA for other essential training components required for Rakna Brand Sea Marshals. Team CIMSTA is fully geared and well prepared for a professional training always.
