Private security officers are responsible for protecting many of the nation’s institutions and critical infrastructure systems in land security especially in airport and port security including industry and manufacturing utilities, transportation, health, and educational facilities.
The training modules in the programmes will be jointly certified with Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka for qualification NVQ Level 3 awarded for every successful trainee.
Trainees completing the private security training courses at CIMSTA will receive certification by the CIMSTA with Ministry of Defence certification
which will be certainly facilitate for their career opportunities.

The Director Training is a retired Major General who is highly qualified in all spheres of security training having established a fine top-rated record in his military service as Army Training Director, Director General Training With his highly qualified Instructor abilities and through his capacity of working as Commandant and Chief Instructors of leading Army Training establishments during service he brings immense value addition.
Similarly, the training teams of CIMSTA too are multi-skilled in all spheres of training in private security and especially on specialized training team is consisted with Ex Elite Officers and highly qualified Other Rank members of tri services.
